Research and Original Data: What Peolet Publishes
Peolet publishes original, checkable data: the 50-state PEO regulatory dataset, and — when the pricing record clears the gate — an annual PEO Pricing Transparency Index. Every dataset is free, licensed CC BY 4.0 and built from primary sources that are linked on every page.

- PEO Pricing Transparency Index — an annual, repeatable measurement of what
each tracked provider actually quotes: models, rates, terms and changes year over year. Planned; the draft page lists exactly what it needs.
The research process
Every number on this site follows the same route. An analyst pulls a primary source (a statute, an agency publication, a filing, a provider's own published documentation), records the URL and the verification date, and the field counts toward the page's quality gate. A value without a source renders as "Not verified" and counts as zero — the build refuses to infer.
The research queue on each draft page is the work order. When you see a draft, you are seeing the audit trail of what has not been checked yet, not a page somebody forgot to finish.
Refresh policy
- State law pages: every six months, and within 30 days of a statutory change.
- Provider records: quarterly.
- Ranked lists (when published): monthly, with a visible update date.
- The pricing index: annually, on a published cadence.

What data do you publish?

Why is the pricing index not published yet?
Because an index needs verified provider pricing on file — quoted rates, rate sheets or published fee schedules with sources and dates. No provider record holds one yet, and an index built on estimates would be the industry's usual page with our name on it.
What license applies to the datasets?
The state regulatory dataset is published under CC BY 4.0 — free to use, remix and cite with attribution. The same license policy will apply to any dataset we publish.
How do I read the research queues?
Every unpublished record carries a "research queue": the specific primary sources an analyst needs to pull to publish it. That queue doubles as our work order and as your audit trail.
