How We Make Money
Peolet is paid a flat, rate-carded fee by providers when we introduce a qualified buyer who agreed to be contacted. We are not paid a commission on insurance or benefits placement, we are not paid more by one provider than another, and no payment affects rankings, scores or which providers appear on this site.
Most comparison sites in this category bury this page in the footer. It is in our main navigation because the honest answer is short and you should be able to find it before you trust anything else here.
What we are paid
A flat fee, per qualified introduction, set by rate card.
When you complete the match form, tell us your headcount, states, industry and timeline, and tick which providers may contact you, we pass your details to those providers. If the introduction meets the qualification criteria in our agreement with that provider, they pay us a fixed amount.
That is the whole model.
What we are deliberately not paid
Not a commission on what you buy. A PEO's revenue is bundled with workers' compensation and health insurance placement. Compensation contingent on that placement can implicate insurance producer licensing rules in a lot of states, and — more to the point for you — it would give us a financial stake in you buying more insurance rather than the right amount. Our fee does not move with your premium, your headcount, your contract value or your renewal.
Not a bid. Providers cannot outbid each other for a better position, a higher score, or first place in the queue. There is one rate card.
Not a listing fee. Providers do not pay to appear in our directory, and many of the providers we cover have no commercial relationship with us at all.
Not per click, not per impression. We do not run display advertising, and we do not take money to place a link inside editorial copy.

The last row is the one worth dwelling on. Because we are paid only on qualified introductions, sending you to a provider that cannot serve your headcount or your states costs us money. That is why the match form asks six questions instead of two, and why it tells you plainly when a PEO is the wrong answer for your situation.
What we do with your details
Only the providers you explicitly tick receive your information. We record the exact consent language you agreed to, the time you agreed to it, and the page you were on when you did — and we keep that record. We do not sell your details to a data broker, we do not put you into a shared lead pool where a dozen callers get the same record, and we do not pass you to a provider you did not name.
If the consent-certification step is unavailable, the form refuses to submit. That is intentional. A contact record we cannot prove consent for is worth less than nothing to us, and it exposes you to calls you never agreed to.
What we are not
Peolet is an independent comparison service. We are not a professional employer organization, an insurance producer or a broker. We do not co-employ anyone, we do not administer payroll or benefits, and we hold no certification or accreditation of our own — we report on which providers hold them.

Frequently asked
Do providers pay to be listed on Peolet?
No. Inclusion in the directory is editorial. Providers cannot buy a listing, a score or a position, and providers that pay us nothing appear alongside those that do.
Do you get paid more if I choose a more expensive PEO?
No. The fee is flat and identical across providers. We have no financial reason to steer you toward a more expensive arrangement, and no commission tied to what you eventually buy.
Who gets my contact details?
Only the providers you tick on the form. We do not resell your details, we do not add you to a shared lead pool, and we do not pass them to providers you did not name.
