About Peolet
Peolet is an independent comparison service for US employers evaluating professional employer organizations. We publish sourced provider and state regulatory data, and we introduce buyers to providers for a flat fee. We are not a PEO, a broker or an insurance producer.
What this site is for
Choosing a PEO means handing another company your payroll tax filings, your benefits and often your workers' compensation coverage, under a contract most buyers never see in full until they are asked to sign it. The information you need to make that decision well — who is certified, who is registered where, what the administrative fee actually is once it is separated from insurance, what it costs to leave — is scattered across agency registries, filings and sales conversations.
Peolet exists to pull that into one place, publish it with its sources, and keep it current.
What we are not
We are not a professional employer organization. We do not co-employ anyone, we do not run payroll, we do not administer benefits, and we hold no CPEO certification or ESAC accreditation of our own. Where you see those credentials on this site, they belong to the providers we report on, and each one links to the registry entry it came from.We are also not an insurance producer or broker, and we take no commission tied to insurance or benefits placement. How we make money sets out the commercial model in full.
Who is accountable
Editorial content is produced by the Peolet editorial team and reviewed by a credentialed HR or benefits practitioner before it is indexed. Pages awaiting that review say so on the page and stay out of search indexes until it happens.
We are currently recruiting a credentialed lead author (SHRM-SCP, SPHR or equivalent). Until that role is filled, pages covering tax, insurance and regulatory compliance remain unpublished rather than reviewed by someone without the standing to review them.

Corrections, source documents and data disputes are the fastest way to get our attention. Send the document and we will re-check the record and re-date the page.
Providers who want to correct their own record are welcome to — with a document. Providers who want to discuss their score are welcome to be disappointed.
Current coverage
Both numbers are deliberately visible. A comparison site that will not tell you how much of its own dataset is verified is asking you to assume the answer is "all of it".
