Editorial Policy
Everything published on Peolet is written by our editorial team, sourced to primary records, and reviewed by a credentialed practitioner before it is indexed. Providers have no input into editorial content, no preview rights and no veto. Corrections are made in place, dated and disclosed.
Independence
No provider, advertiser or commercial partner sees editorial content before publication, suggests topics, reviews scores, or has any right of reply beyond the correction process below. Nobody on the commercial side of this business can change a score, a ranking or a verdict. If that firewall is ever breached, the correct response is to publish that it was breached.
Sourcing
- Facts about regulation come from statutes, agency pages and filings — cited,
linked and dated.
- Facts about providers come from certification registries, public filings,
service agreements and quotes we obtained ourselves.
- Where we cannot verify something, we say "not verified" and show what is
missing. We do not fill gaps with plausible-sounding estimates.
- Where a figure is an estimate or a model output, it is labelled as one on the
page, with the method stated.
Authorship and review
Every editorial page carries a named author. Pages covering money, tax, insurance or regulatory compliance additionally require review by a credentialed practitioner — SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR, CPA, or a licensed benefits professional — before they are indexed.
Pages showing "awaiting credentialed review" have not had that review. They are visible, marked, and excluded from search indexes until it happens. We are recruiting for this role and will not backfill it by having an uncredentialed writer sign off on tax and insurance content.
What we will not publish
- Aggregate ratings or review counts we did not collect first-party.
- Scores or rankings that a provider paid to influence.
- Legal, tax or insurance advice. We publish sourced information and tell you
when a question needs a licensed professional — including questions where the honest answer is "ask your broker, not a website".
- Comparisons of providers whose underlying data has not cleared our data gate.
Corrections
Send us the document. If a fact here is wrong or out of date, we correct it in place, update the verification date, and note substantive corrections on the page. We do not quietly rewrite history, and we do not delete a page to make an error disappear.
Where a correction changes a score or a ranking, we say so and re-date the ranking.
Updates and freshness
Content is not evergreen in this category. Registration requirements, wage bases, minimum wages and leave mandates change on statutory cycles, and provider terms change without notice. Every page states when it was last verified, and records that pass their refresh window automatically drop out of our indexes until they are checked again.
AI and automation
We use automation to generate page structure from our own reviewed dataset, and we use it to draft and edit. We do not publish machine-written claims about regulation, pricing or provider terms that a human has not checked against a primary source. The data gate exists precisely so that scale never outruns verification.
